DHAKA, July 19, 2018 (BSS) – Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan today urged the pro-liberation forces to work together to move the country forward upholding the spirit of the Liberation War.
“All the pro-liberation forces should be united to uproot the evil forces of fundamentalism from the country…I urge all of you to work in unison to defeat the anti-liberation forces again,” he said, speaking at the inaugural programme of ‘Janatar Ovhijathra’ (mass procession) to Srimangal from the Jatiya Press Club here.
Sramik Karamachari Peshajibi Muktijoddha Samanya Parishad, Antorjatik Juddhaporad Ganabichar Andolan and Muktijoddhar Sontan o Prajammno Parishad organized the programme to drum up public opinion in favour of their six-point demand.
Bangladesh Muktijoddha Central Command Council former chairman Major (Retd) Helal Morshed Khan, vice chairman Ismat Kadir Gama, freedom fighters Salauddin Ahmed, Alauddin Mian, Osman Ali and Sultan Ahmed, actress Rokeya Prachi, Sramik League leader Shahabuddin Mian, CBA leaders Md Kamal Uddin, Abul Hossain and Omar Faruque, among others, addressed the programme.
