Murad mourns death of Abdul Matin Khasru
DHAKA, Apr 14, 2021 (BSS) – State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hassan today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of former law minister, Awami League Presidium Member and Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Abdul Matin Khasru.
In a condolence message, he prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Matin Khasru breathed his last at around 4:45pm while undergoing treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka, said Advocate Shamim Khan, a member of Advocate Abdul Matin Khasru and Associates.
He was put on life support yesterday at the CMH as his health condition deteriorated.
The five-time lawmaker from Cumilla-5, gave sample for Covid-19 test on March 15 and on March 16 he was diagnosed with coronavirus and admitted to CMH.
He was elected SCBA president for 2021-2022 on March 11.
