Sajeda Chowdhury mourns death of Abdul Matin Khasru
DHAKA, April 14, 2021 (BSS) – Deputy Leader in the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of former law minister, Awami League Presidium Member and Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Abdul Matin Khasru.
In a condolence message, the deputy leader prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Matin Khasru breathed his last at around 4:45pm while undergoing treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka.
He was put on life support yesterday at the CMH as his health condition deteriorated.
The five-time lawmaker from Cumilla-5, gave sample for Covid-19 test on March 15 and on March 16 he was diagnosed as coronavirus positive and admitted to CMH.
He was elected SCBA president for 2021-2022 on March 11.
