Singapore stocks close 0.27 pct lower
SINGAPORE, April 14,2021 (BSS/XINHUA) – Singapore stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going down 0.27 percent, or 8.51 points, to close at 3,179.39.
A total of 1.53 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.01 billion Singapore dollars (about 755.65 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 242 to 230.
The STI index went up 0.44 percent, or 13.97 points, to close at 3,187.9 on Tuesday.
