2,200 farmers get agri incentives in Bhola
BHOLA, April 13, 2021 (BSS) – The Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) distributed agriculture incentives– Aush seeds and fertilizers – – among 2,200 small and marginal farmers in Sadar upazila of the district today.
The incentives were distributed at a function held at the Sadar upazila parishad office premises to assist the small and marginal farmers in cultivating the crop during the Kharip-1 season.
Upazila parishad chairman and Upazila Awami League president Md. Mosharraf Hossain distributed the incentives among the farmers as chief guest with Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Mizanur Rahman in the chair.
Each farmer were given 5-kg seeds, 20-kg of DAP fertilizer and 10-kg of MOP fertilizer free. The government is giving seeds and fertilizer to encourage the farmers to cultivate Aush, UNO Md. Mizanur Rahman said.
Upazila agriculture officer Md. Riazuddin, deputy assistant agriculture officers, among others, were present on the occasion.
