Govt. issues directives for mosques during lockdown

DHAKA, April 12, 2021 (BSS) – The government has issued directives on presence of devotees at mosques during the fresh lockdown that will enforce on April 14 to contain the surge of COVID -19 fatality and infection.

Religious Affairs Ministry issued a notice in this regard saying the directives will be effective from April 14 and it will continue till further notice.

As per the directives, maximum 20 Musullis would congregate prayers each time out of five times prayers in a mosque.

Maximum 20 devotees including khatib, imam, hafez, muajjim and khadim would join Tarabi prayers during Ramadan.

Muslims will take part in Jummah prayers with strict adherence to health safety guidelines and social distancing .

All Muslims are requested to offer Tilawat and Jikir seeking blessings of Almighty Allah to get recovery from the crisis.

Local administrations, law enforcement agencies, Islamic Foundation officials and employees and concerned mosque governing bodies have been requested to implement those directives to contain the transmission of deadly coronavirus.
