Man crushed under train wheels in the capital
DHAKA, April 12, 2021 (BSS) – A man was crushed under the wheels of a speeding train this morning in Tejgaon Railway Station area of the capital.
The victim was identified as – Abdur Rahman, 43.
“He was an office assistant in the private satellite channel Ekushey Television,” Ahmed Babu, Crime correspondent of the channel told BSS.
Sub-Inspector (SI) of Dhaka Railway (Kamalapur) Police Station Abdul Alim confirmed the matter saying, “The accident occurred at around 8:15am today. A speeding freight bogie crushed him under its wheels while parking in the area…He died on the spot.”
After receiving the news, Dhaka Railway GRP police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
The body has been kept under police custody. Legal action will be taken in this regard, the official added.
