Extremist communal forces involved in anarchy and chaos to be brought to book: Rezaul

Dhaka, April 12, 2021 (BSS) – Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim today said the extremist groups, which have been creating anarchy and chaos in the country in the recent times, are enemies of the state and they must be brought to the book.

“Extremist groups that have created anarchy in the recent times are prime foes of the state and they must be punished by the existing law of the land ,” he said.

He said this as the chief guest at the inaugural function of distribution of free agricultural incentives (fertilizers and seeds) among local small and marginal farmers organized by Nesharabad Upazila Administration in Pirojpur, said a press release.

“Speaking about the grave situation of the COVID -19 Rezaul said while Bangladesh is coping with the Corona situation better than any other countries of the world, a group of anti-independence extremists, including Mamunul Haque, are trying to destabilize the country,” he said adding, “Islam is not safe in the hands of those involved in immoral activities like those persons”

“The message must be conveyed to every mosque and madrasa that none has done what this government had done for Islam, even then, when the government is striving hard to establish a peaceful state , there should not be such attempt to destroy the country by creating chaos in the name of Islam,” he said.

Nesharabad Upazila Nirbahi Officer M Mosharraf Hossain presided over the function, while Nesharabad Upazila Parishad Chairman Abdul Haque, Upazila Awami League President Abdul Hamid, Swarupkathi Municipality Mayor Golam Kabir, Upazila Krishak League President Shashanka Ranjan Samaddar, Assistant Commissioner (Land) M Abir Mohammad Hossain, Upazila Agriculture Officer Chapal Krishna Nath, President of Nesharabad Press Club M Nazrul Islam and local Union Parishad chairmen were present at the occasion.
