NETRAKONA, April 11, 2021 (BSS) – Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) has started distributing of modern agricultural equipment including combined paddy harvesting, paddy ripper and rice plant transplantation machines among the farmers at subsidized prices in the district this season.
DAE office sources here said the government allocated 81 combined paddy harvesting, 18 paddy ripper and 19 rice plant transplantation machines for distribution among farmers at 50-70 percent subsidized prices to help them cultivate and harvest crops.
Deputy Director of the DAE, Netrakona, Habibur Rahman said the government is giving 70 percent subsidy to the farmers in the haor areas and 50 percent subsidy to the farmers of other areas of the country.
The government allocated the modern agricultural equipment under its integrated farm management and agriculture mechanization project, he said.
Meanwhile, a total of 57 combined paddy harvesting machines have been handed over to the farmers of the district, he added.
