Ex-JPC president Hasan Shahriar passes away
DHAKA, April 10, 2021 (BSS) – Jatiya Press Club (JPC) former president and former executive editor of the daily Ittefaq, Hasan Shahriar passed away while undergoing treatment at a city hospital today.
The veteran journalist breathed his last at Impulse Hospital at around 12 noon, immediate past president of JPC Saiful Alam told BSS.
Shahriar, also a two-term president of Commonwealth Journalists’ Association (CJA), was admitted to the hospital at around 1:30 am on Friday with symptoms of coronavirus.
Later, he tested positive for the virus.
