CHATTOGRAM, April 9, 2021 (BSS)- A total of 3,06,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine for second phase reached in Chattogram today.
Dr Hasan Shahriar Kabir, Divisional Director (Health), Chattogram and Acting District Civil Surgeon Dr Mohammad Asif Khan received the vaccines which are currently kept in the EPI store of the District Civil Surgeon’s Office. Later, those will be sent to the different City Corporation areas and Upazila Health Complex centers of the district.
“We think, an equal number of that means 3,06,000 people will be vaccinated by the doses of vaccine,” Dr Asif Khan said,
As per the government directives, vaccination activities will be carried out in different city corporation areas under the supervision of the City Corporation and different upazila-level by the supervision of the respective Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), he added.
“After counting the registration, vaccines will be supplied from the EPI stores to City Corporation areas and upazila-level centers as per the demand. The Covid-19 vaccine while obtaining from the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) branch of the Civil Surgeon’s Office will be supplied carefully with a walk-in cooler (WIC),” he further said.
High officials of different stake holders including district administration and police administration were present during the time.
