GAZIPUR, April 9, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 100 small and marginalized farmers were get seeds of high yielding Aush paddy and fertilizer free of cost to increase Aush cultivation in Kaliganj upazila of the district.
The farmers were got the support under the government’s agricultural incentive programme through the Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE).
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Kaliganj Md. Shibli Sadiq inaugurated the distribution program this morning in compliance with the health rules.
On the occasion, 100 farmers were given five kilograms of seeds, 20 kilograms of DAP fertilizers and 10 kilograms of MOP fertilizers for per bigha of land each through maintaining social distancing, Farzana Taslim, upazila agriculture officer said.
Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) officer Nusrat Hossain, deputy assistant plant protection officer Akhtaruzzaman, deputy assistant agriculture officer Hasan Ali, among others, were present on the occasion.
