Coaching center fined for defying ban in Dinajpur

DINAJPUR, April 9, 2021 (BSS) – A mobile court today fined ‘Para Lekha Coaching Center’ Taka 100,000 on charge of running coaching business in Barabandar area under Sadar upazila of the district defying government ban to curb coronavirus spread.

Executive Magistrate and Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Magfurul Hasan Abbasi conducted the raid at Para Lekha Coaching Center in Barabandar area under Sadar upazila of the district this morning.

During the raid, director of the coaching center Mahindranath Roy was fined Taka 100,000, on charge of carrying out the coaching business and endangering the community.

Executive Magistrate and Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Magfurul Hasan Abbasi told BSS that the number of corona infected people is increasing each day as people are reluctant in maintaining health guidelines.

The district administration is conducting mobile court to create awareness among people about the spread of COVID-19.

The mobile court will continue similar drives in future, the executive magistrate added.

Executive Magistrate Magfurul Hasan Abbasi further added that according to the infectious diseases (Prevention, Control and Eradication) Act-2018, director of the coaching center Mahindranath Roy was fined.

Later, the court sealed off the coaching center.
