Emon wins gold in singles, Ranjan-Dipu pair secure gold in doubles
DHAKA, April 8, 2021 (BSS) – Emon Islam of Rajshahi’s Advocate Abdus
Salam Tennis Complex won gold in the men’s singles event of
Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games tennis beating Rubel Hossain of
Madaripur by 6-3, 7-5 sets in the final held today at Advocate Abdus
Salam Tennis Complex in Rajshahi.
Biplob of Dhaka Gulshan Club bagged the bronze defeating Kawsar Ali
of National Tennis Complex by 6-4, 6-3 sets in the place-deciding
match.
On the other hand, Ranjan Ram of International Club and Dipu Lal of
Nordic Club pair won gold in the men’s doubles event final beating
Amol Roy of Dhaka Engineers Club and Jewel Rana of National Tennis
Complex pair by 7-5, 6-2 sets in the final.
Besides, Farhad and Roman pair of Bangladesh Krira Shikkha
Protishtan finished third defeating Rumon and Tinku pair of Rajshahi’s
Advocate Abdus Salam Tennis Complex by 6-4, 6-1 sets in the
place-deciding match in this event.
