BCB chief curator tests Covid-19 positive
DHAKA, April 8, 2021 (BSS) – The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB)
chief curator Gamini de Silva was tested positive for Covid-19.
Gamini de Silva was supposed to leave Bangladesh for his country Sri
Lanka to spend a holiday with his family and therefore he underwent a
test which later confirmed that he contracted the deadly virus.
“Since he was supposed to go to Sri Lanka for holidaying, he gave
his sample for test and it returned positive. So he was unable to
leave the country at this moment,” BCB sports physician Dr. Debashis
Chowdhiury said here today.
“He is in isolation at his Dhaka residence now. His treatment is
going on as per the doctor’s advice.”
Gamini de Silva was due to board the Sri Lankan flight on April 9.
