Ansar continue to dominate judo on second day

DHAKA, April 8, 2021 (BSS) – Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party continued their domination in Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games Judo event on the second day held at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in the city.

In the men’s U-66 kg weight category, Saddam Hossain of Border Guard Bangladesh won gold, Khaledul Hasan Milu of Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan bagged the silver while Mohammad Sogir Hossain of Bangladesh Army and Tonmoy Ali of Bangladesh Ansar jointly bagged the bronze medal in this event.

In the women’s U-57 kg weight category, Tabassum Toma Zerin of Bangladesh Ansar won gold, VDP’s Ukruho Marma secured the silver while Taslima Parveeen Kakoli of Rajshahi division and Monira Hasan Smrity of Barisal Division jointly bagged the bronze medal.

In the women’s U-52 kg weight category, Singma Pru Marma of Bangladesh Ansar won gold, Masinu Marma of VDP secured the silver while Sumi Rani Halder of Bangladesh Army and Sumiya Akter of Barisal Division jointly bagged the bronze medal.

A total of seven weight category’s finals have been decided so far over the last two days of the event while the remaining three weight categories finals will be held on the last day tomorrow.
