Humayun for expanding mosque, temple-based education
DHAKA, April 8, 2021 (BSS) – Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun today said that mosque and temple-based education is part of the universal education system.
“After the independence of the country, the Father of the Nation had emphasized on education and arranged the education system for all. And so Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman introduced the universal primary education system,” he said.
The minister said this while speaking at a virtual discussion on “Temple-Based Children and Mass Education Program-Role of 5th Phase”, said a press release.
The temple-based children and mass education activities are being implemented by the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust under the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Narsingdi Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Syeda Farhana Kaunin presided over the function while Narsingdi Zilla Parishad Chairman Abdul Matin Bhuiyan, among others, spoke at the discussion.
In order to take forward the mosque, temple-based education system, Humayun urged all to come forward with a sense of moral and social responsibility.
