SCBA-FBCCI Centre to open new door of cooperation between lawyers, business community: Anisul

DHAKA, April 8, 2021 (BSS) – Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq today congratulated the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) on the inauguration of SCBA FBCCI Centre and said it would open a new door of cooperation between lawyers and business community.

“I believe this will present new avenues to the lawyers of Bangladesh which will promote the rule of law, foster nation-building, national integration and cooperation. I feel delighted to be a part of this initiative. As a member of SCBA I expressed my personal gratitude to FBCCI for this endeavor,” the minister said.

He came up with the observations while virtually inaugurating SCBA FBCCI Centre as the chief guest at SCBA Library. Set up with the assistance from FBCCI, the centre has 700 exclusive law reference books for lawyers to use.

“The lawyers of Bangladesh have aspired for years, worked hard to acquire skills and knowledge. As they step into the corporate world, they find themselves in positions of greater responsibility and I believe they will continue to make us proud and lead the corporate world to optimum growth and prosperity,” the law minister added.

Anisul Huq, also an eminent lawyer himself, further said SCBA has been uniting pioneer lawyers who are reputed in the corporate world, adding, “I believe the new SCBA FBCCI Center will pave their ways to future success.”

Attorney General and SCBA President AM Amin Uddin addressed as special guest at the function, which was also addressed by FBCCI President Sheikh Fazle Fahim, its Senior Vice President Md Muntakim Ashraf, among others. FBCCI Chief Executive Officer Md Mahfuzul Hoque conducted the programme.
