BOGURA, April 8, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 91 people were tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours after diagnosing 301 samples at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital COVID-19 PCR Lab and TMSS PCR Lab as the trend of the lethal virus rising here.
Of the total, 83 are in Sadar upazila, two each in Shibganj, Sherpur and Dhunat upazila and one each in Kahalu and Shajahanpur upazila of the district.
The total number of infected persons in the district stood at 10,728 and the number of recovery cases stood at 9,880, said deputy civil surgeon Dr Mostafizur Rahman Tuhin this afternoon.
Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, one COVID-19 patient died at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, the deputy civil surgeon said.
The health experts urged all to follow the health rules strictly and use masks to prevent the spread of the lethal virus.
