BCB congratulates Zahid Ahsan Russel
DHAKA, April 8, 2021 (BSS)—The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has congratulated State Minister for the Ministry of Youth & Sports Zahid Ahsan Russel, MP on becoming the new Chairman of the D-8 Youth Forum.
The D-8 is an organization for development cooperation among eight Muslim-majority countries – Bangladesh, Egypt, Nigeria, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Pakistan, and Turkey.
The BCB hopes that under its able leadership the Forum would reach new heights and contribute to the positive development of youth in the D-8 countries.
Zahid Ahsan Russell officially took charge on Wednesday. He sought the cooperation of all while performing his duties later. On Monday Bangladesh hosted the D-7 Youth Conference for the first time in the history of the D-7 Conference.
The youth conference is organized through an online platform in the light of the theme ‘Entrepreneurs for Sustainable Transformation’. The summit was attended by 161 youth participants, including the youth ministers of the D-8 member states, who are expected to lead their nation through sustainable transformation.
