Army win gold in women’s doubles badminton
DHAKA, April 07, 2021 (BSS)- Bangladesh Army won the gold medal in the women’s doubles badminton of Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games badminton event held today at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium in the city.
The Bangladesh Army team comprising Brishty Khatun and Fatema Begum won gold beating Reshma Akter and Urmy Akter of Bangladesh Ansar by 2-0 set points in the final.
Earlier, Bangladesh Army’s Brishty Khatun and Fatema Begum confirmed their spot of final defeating Dulari Haider and Rehana Khatun of Bangladesh Ansar in the first semifinal.
In the day’s another semifinal, Reshma Akter and Urmy Akter of Bangladesh Ansar confirmed their final birth beating Onamika Islam and Reshma Akter of Bangladesh Army.
Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Ansar secured the bronze medal in this event.
