Men’s hockey’s semifinals tomorrow
DHAKA, April 06, 2021 (BSS)-Both the men’s section semifinals of the Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games hockey will be held tomorrow at Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium.
Bangladesh Army take on Bangladesh Police in the first semifinal at 2 pm while Bangladesh Navy meet Bangladesh Air Force in the second semis at 4 pm.
Meanwhile, Narail district emerged champions from group B with six points in the women’s section hockey beating Rajshahi district by 6-0 goals held at the same venue.
Dinajpur district team finished group runners-up with three points.
While Jhenaidah district and Kishorganj district teams were declared as group A champions and runners-up respectively by the Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) after Jhenaidah, Thakurgaon and Kishorganj all secured equal two points from group A. Their champions and runners-up places were later decided as per the bylaws.
