DHAKA, April 6, 2021 (BSS) – Awami Jubo League has taken an
initiative to arrange emergency telemedicine services for people in
the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
At the call of Jube League Chairman Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash and
General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil, more than 100 physicians
agreed to provide telemedicine services, said a press release signed
by Jubo League deputy office secretary Delwar Hossain Shahajada here
today.
“Anyone can receive telemedicine services from the concerned
physicians by calling at the published numbers from any corner of the
country. The service will be continued round-the-clock,” said the
release.
Jubo League Presidium Member Dr Khaled Shawkat Ali was given the
charge of chief coordinator of the telemedicine service.
Organizing Secretary Dr Helal Uddin, Health Secretary Dr Farid
Raihan, Deputy Health Secretary Dr Mahfuzur Rahman Ujjal, Assistant
Secretary Dr Manjurul Islam Bhuiyan Rafi, executive members Dr
Aurangzeb Aru and Dr Md Raihan Sarker Rizvi will act as coordinators.
Chief Coordinator Dr Khaled Shawkat Ali said telemedicine teams
have been formed comprising physicians having posts in the central
working committee of the organization.
“We will provide telemedicine services 24-hours in coordination. In
urgency, we will provide oxygen service,” he said.
