Volleyball competition begins in Narail
DHAKA, Apr 5, 2021 (BSS)- Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games volleyball event (men’s-women’s) began today through a huge enthusiasm at Narail Birshreshtha Stadium in Narail.
Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) general secretary Ashikur Rahman Miku, tournament committee’s secretary and BVF joint secretary advocate Fazle Rabbi Babul, BVF joint secretary-2 Azizur Rahman and BVF treasurer Asim Saha, were among others, present in the inauguration ceremony.
In the day’s men’s section matches, Bangladesh Army beat Dinajpur district, Titas Club defeated Panchagarh district, Bangladesh Air Force outplayed Cumilla district and host Narail district overpowered Chattogram district, all by 3-0 sets.
In the women’s section match, Khulna district beat Pabna district by 3-0 set.
Participating teams:
Men’s team – Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Air Force, Power Development Board, Bangladesh Titas Gas, Chattogram University, Dinajpur District, Cumilla District, Panchagarh District, Chattogram District and the host Narail District team.
Women’s team- Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Ansar, Pabna District, Rajshahi District, Chattogram District, Khulna District, Chattagram University and the host Narail District team.
