7th Nat’l Math Olympiad on April 23 at JU
SAVAR, April 4, 2021 (BSS)- A three-day long 7th National Math Olympiad-2021 will begin on April 23 at Jahangirnagar University (JU).
With the slogan ‘GoniteNeiVoy, GoniteiBishaw Joy’, Jahangirnagar University Science Club (JUSC), a science-based social organisation of the university, organised the programme.
JUSC secretary Mustafizur Rahman Sonnet disclosed about the event, through a press conference at Jahangirnagar University Journalists’ Association (JUJA) office this afternoon.
The Olympiad will be held virtually this year amid the recent surge of coronavirus. Only secondary and higher secondary level students will be eligible to participate in the event, said Jakirul Islam, the convener of the Olympiad.
Under three uniform sections, the contestant will have to succeed on 100 marks preliminary, elimination and viva voce round where a total of 10 will be awarded, he added.
JUSC president Tarek Aziz, head of software development of Neural Semiconductor Limited, Muhibur Rahman, HR manager of Neural Semiconductor Limited Tanvir Rahman, were also present at the press conference among others.
