BKSP, Cox’s Bazar post win in men’s football
DHAKA, Apr 4, 2021 (BSS)-Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan and Cox’s Bazar district team won their respective group B matches of the Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games held today at Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla.
In the day’s match, BKSP beat Satkhira football team by 4-1 goals.
In the match, Faysal scored a brace in the 18th and 64th minutes while Sidikur and Karmokar supported him with one goal each for BKSP in the 42nd and 56th minutes respectively.
Masum scored the lone goal for Satkhira in the 56th minute of the match.
Earlier, in the day’s first match, Cox’s Bazar football team edged past Cumilla football team by a solitary goal, scored by Arif in the 62nd minute of the match.
Both the team will play in the semifinal from group B.
A total of ten teams, eight district teams along with BKSP and Bangladesh Army, are taking part in the meet, jointly organized by Bangladesh Football Federation and Bangladesh Olympic Association.
Men’s football teams (grouping):
Group A – Netrokona district, Bangladesh Army, Sylhet District, Pabna district and Khulna district.
Group B – Rangpur district, Cumilla district, Cox’s Bazar district, Satkhira district and Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan.
