Gymnastics: Nur Akhtar’s fourth gold
DHAKA, April 4, 2021 (BSS)–Nur Akhter Banu won the fourth gold in the ‘Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games’ gymnastics organized by the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA).
The gymnast of Bangladesh Ansar won gold by scoring 10.25 in the girls’ floor event held at the National Sports Council Gymnasium on Sunday. Sonia Akter of Bangladesh Police won the silver in this event with a score of 10.10. Shanta Islam of Bangladesh Ansar won bronze, scoring 9.60.
Earlier, Nur Akhter Banu won gold in the girls’ individual balance beam insurance, all-around and group artistic events.
Sajid Haque of Bangladesh Krira Shiksha Prothisthan (BKSP) won his second gold in the gymnastics event of Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games. He became the first to score 11.90 in the boys’ floor event held at the National Sports Council Gymnasium on Sunday. Abu Saeed Rafi of Bangladesh Police won silver as he scored 11.60. Vanum Nuam of Sherpur Division, who won bronze, scored 11.05. Earlier, Sajid had also won gold in the boys’ high bar event.
