Banking hours to be 10am-12.30pm from tomorrow: BB
DHAKA, April 4, 2021 (BSS) – Bangladesh Bank (BB) has fixed the banking hours from 10am to 12.30pm from tomorrow amid the lockdown to halt sharp rise of COVID-19 in the country.
“Banks will remain open from 10am to 2pm while the transaction will be made between 10am and 12.30pm,” said a Bangladesh Bank (BB) circular issued here today.
The new time will continue until April 11 except weekly and government holidays, the circular added.
The government today issued a notification imposing lockdown from April 5 to April 11 to halt the sharp rise of COVID-19 in the country.
According to the notification, movement of public transports — bus, train, launch and plane — will remain suspended while public and private offices and business establishments will be closed during the lockdown.
