Hasan condoles death of ex-PIO Harun-ar-Rashid
DHAKA, April 4, 2021 (BSS) – Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of former Principal Information Officer (PIO) Harun-ar-Rashid.
In a message of condolence, the minister prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Harun-ar-Rashid passed away last night while undergoing treatment at a city hospital at the age of 75.
Rashid served as war correspondent of the Mujibnagar Government in 1971, and later joined Bangladesh Civil Service as an information officer.
He was appointed as the Principal Information Officer in 1998.
