DHAKA, July 18, 2018 (BSS) – Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry
of Women and Children Affairs today discussed Dowry Prohibition Bill, 2018 at
its 46th meeting at Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban with Rebeka Momin, MP, in the
chair.
The committee recommended scrutinizing the bill thoroughly and placing
report on it in the next meeting.
State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Begum Meher Afroz Chumki, Md
Mozammel Hossain, MP, Fazilatun Nesa, MP, Monwara Begum, MP, and Rifat Amin,
MP, attended the meeting.
Senior officials of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Ministry of
Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and National Parliament Secretariat
were also present at the meeting, among others.
