20 people fined for not wearing masks in Feni
FENI, April 3, 2021 (BSS) – The mobile courts today fined 20 persons in different places, including in Daganbhuiyan and Sonagazi upazilas, of the district for violating Covid-19 health guidelines.
Judicial Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Ghazala Parveen Ruhi conducted the raids in various places, including Beker Bazar area under Daganbhuiyan upazila, of the district this afternoon.
During the raid, a total of 11 people were fined Taka 1,100 for not using masks and not maintaining social distancing. The mobile court also distributed masks among people free of cost.
Earlier, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Sonagazi upazila of the district Ajit Deb conducted a drive in different places, including in Matiganj and Baktar Munshi Bazar areas, of the upazila around 11:30 am today.
During the raid, a total of 9 people were fined Taka 900 for not using masks and not maintaining social distancing. The mobile court also distributed masks among people free of cost.
Judicial Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Ghazala Parveen Ruhi told BSS that the number of corona infected people is increasing each day as people are reluctant in maintaining health guidelines.
The district administration is conducting mobile court to create awareness among the people about the spread of COVID-19.
The mobile court will continue similar drives in future, Judicial Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Ghazala Parveen Ruhi added.
