Gold for Al Amin, Nur Akhter in gymnastics’ all-round event

DHAKA, April 3, 2021 (BSS)–Al Amin of Bangladesh Police won gold in the Gymnastics All-Around Men’s Individual Artistic event of Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games on Friday.

Al-Amin scored 64.05 to be the best in this event. Rajib Chakma of Quantum Cosmo School and College won the silver medal with a score of 63.75. Shankheyong Khumi Kitang of Bangladesh Police won the bronze, scoring 61.75.

Bangladesh Ansar female swept in All-Around Women’s Individual Artistic Gymnastics, winning all three medals.

Nur Akhter Banu won gold with a score of 40.6, Shanta Islam won silver with a score of 36.05 and Akhter Mishu won a bronze with a score of 32.70.

Gymnastics: Gold for Sabina, Rajiv, Shishir and Sonia Sabina Yasmin Shimla of Bangladesh Krira Shikhsha Prothisthan (BKSP) won gold in the women’s individual vault table in gymnastics at the Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games.

She won gold, scoring a total of 10.625 in the event held at the National Sports Council Gymnasium on Saturday. The silver was won by Banfulli Chakma of the same organization, who scored 5.75. Shanta Islam and Mushfiqa Akhter Bithi of Bangladesh Ansar won the bronze medal jointly with a score of 5.225.

Rajib Chakma won gold in boys’ pommel horse

Rajiv Chakma of Quantum Cosmo School and College won gold in the boys’ individual Pomel Horse event in gymnastics. He became the first with a score of 10.90. Mohammad Al Amin of Bangladesh Police won the silver medal with a score of 10.75 in the event held at the National Sports Council Gymnasium on Saturday. Shahidul Islam Saju of Bangladesh Ansar, who won a bronze medal, scored 9.55.

Shishir wins gold in steel rings

Shishir Ahmed of Bangladesh Police won gold in boys’ individual steel rings in gymnastics. He scored 11.00 in the event held at the National Sports Council Gymnasium on Saturday. Rajib Chakma of Quantum Cosmo School and College scored 10.70 to win silver . Sajid Haque of Bangladesh Krira Shikhsha Prothisthan (BKSP) won the bronze medal with a score of 10.60.

Sonia’s gold in the uneven bars

Bangladesh Police’s Sonia Akhter has won a gold medal in the women’s individual uneven bars. Sonia scored 9.30 in the event held at the National Sports Council Gymnasium on Saturday. Two gymnasts of Bangladesh Ansar won silver and bronze medals. Nur Akhter Banu won silver with a score of 9.15 and Shanta Islam won bronze with a score of 9.00.
