Jimmy steers Bangladesh Navy to semifinal in men’s hockey.
DHAKA, April 3, 2021 (BSS)-Bangladesh Navy team, rode a Russell Mahmud Jimmy’s brilliant hat-trick, confirmed their spot of semifinal as group B champions of the Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games Hockey crushing Rajshahi district team by 8-0 goals held today at Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium here.
Apart from Jimmy’s hat-trick Mahbub Hossain, Ashraful Islam, Kamruzzaman Rana Taposh Bormon and Fazle Hossain Bappi netted one goal each for Navy in the one-sided affairs.
After the match, Navy’s coach Mamunur Rashid said Navy usually form team to be champions and the victory is the part of consistency. Everyone has worked hard to win the match.
