One held with huge smuggled cigarettes in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, April 2, 2021(BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested
one person with 56,500 smuggled cigarettes from Shibganj in the district this
morning.
The arrestee is Md. Benazir, 45 of Hangami village under Monakasha union of
Shibganj upazila.
RAB said, acting on a tip off, an operation team of RAB-5 from
Chapainawabganj camp conducted a raid in Darar Bridge area in Mordana village
of the upazila at 8.30 am and arrested Benazir with the cigarettes.
Later the arrested person was handed over to the police.
A case was also recorded in this connection.
