Health guidelines issued to prevent coronavirus in Rangpur

RANGPUR, April 2, 2021 (BSS) – In the light of the deteriorating
coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and as per instructions of the government,
Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Rangpur Md. Asib Ahsan has
issued a new public notification with health safety guidelines.

The notification signed on Wednesday afternoon said that in order to
prevent the spread of coronavirus and improve the situation, it has been
decided to restrict the overall activities and movement of people from April
1 across the district.

The restrictions will be effective in Rangpur district from April 1 to
April 15 next.

As per the notification, mass gathering in social, political, religious and
other assemblies, celebrations of wedding, birthday and other functions will
remain stopped during the period.

Proper health rules, including wearing of masks will be followed while
performing prayers in mosques and other religious places of worship.

Gatherings will remain forbidden at all tourists’ spots and recreation
centres and all types of fairs and cinema halls will also be closed.

During the restriction period, public transports will run at its half
capacity by ensuring abidance of the health directives.

At health service providing establishments and shopping malls, both service
providers and service recipients shall wear masks, maintain social distancing
and abide by the health rules.

Hotels are allowed to take fifty percent boarders against capacities and
wearing masks, abiding by the health and hygiene rules and maintaining social
distancing will have to be ensured in restaurants.

No educational institution can be kept open during the restriction period.

“Stringent legal actions will be taken against those who will not wear
masks while remaining outside or will violate the health directives,” the
notification added.
