CHATTOGRAM, April 1, 2021 (BSS)- Chattogram district administration banned all kinds of public gatherings till April 14 to prevent the spread of corona virus.

Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram Mominur Rahman on Thursday issued this public notice.

“All kinds of social and political programs should be suspended in Chattogram and religious ceremonies should be restricted. Proper hygiene should be maintained in all religious places of worship including mosques,” it said.

Tourism, entertainment centers, cinema halls, theater halls and fairs will be closed till April 14”, the notice informed.

Besides, hygiene rules have to be followed in public transport. More than 50 per cent of the capacity cannot be transported. Inter-district traffic should be restricted to high-risk areas of infection, if necessary. Passengers arriving from abroad must ensure institutional (at the hotel’s own expense) quarantine for up to 14 days.

All educational institutions and coaching centers should be closed. Unnecessary wandering, chatting should be stopped, the notification said.

The public notice said that all kinds of hygiene rules including wearing mask should be ensured when going out. If anybody does not wear a mask or violates hygiene rules, legal action will be taken against him or her. Hotels and restaurants cannot accommodate more than 50 percent of the capacity.
