Mobile court conducts drives to enforce hygiene rules in Rangpur

RANGPUR, April 1, 2021 (BSS) – A mobile court of the district administration today conducted drives at important places in Rangpur city to ensure hygiene rules in the wake of the hastily rising COVID-19 infection rate in recent weeks.

Led by Executive Magistrate Mahmud Hasan Mridha, the court conducted drives at Jahaz Company Mour, Paira Chattar, Betpotti and City Bazar areas and fined some people and establishments Taka 4,500 for not wearing masks and violating hygiene rules.

Simultaneously, the court conducted awareness campaigns in different parts of Rangpur city with assistance of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 personnel and distributed masks among common people.

During the awareness raising campaign, the Executive Magistrate called upon everyone to follow the hygiene rules including wearing masks while remaining outside.

“The district administration will continue such drives as well as awareness raising campaigns to ensure enforcement of health and hygiene rules across the district to control the current rising trend in the COVID-19 infection rate,” he added.
