40 people fined for not wearing masks in Khagrachhari
KHAGRACHHARI, April 1, 2021 (BSS) – A mobile court today fined 40 persons including tourists in different places in the district for violating Covid-19 health guidelines.
Executive Magistrates Shakil Mohammad and Prashant Chakraborty conducted the raids at various places including Swanirvar, Khagrachhari Bazar and Shapla Square area in the district this noon.
During the raid, a total of 40 persons including tourists were fined for not using masks and not maintaining social distancing and transporting extra passengers.
The mobile court also distributed masks among people free of cost.
Executive Magistrate Shakil Mohammad said that the number of corona infected people is increasing each day as people are reluctant in maintaining health guidelines.
The district administration is conducting mobile court to create awareness among people about the spread of COVID-19.
The district administration declared all tourist spots in Khagrachhari closed for the next 14 days.
