200 people fined for not wearing masks in Cumilla
CUMILLA, April 1, 2021 (BSS) – A mobile court today fined 200 persons in different places in the district for violating Covid-19 health guidelines.
Executive Magistrates Johnny Roy, Nasreen Sultana and Fahima Binte Akhtar conducted the raids at various places including Kandirpar, Badurtala and Manoharpur areas in the city of the district this morning.
During the raid, a total of 200 people were fined Taka 5,300 for not using masks and not maintaining social distancing. The mobile court also distributed masks among people free of cost.
Executive Magistrate Johnny Roy told BSS that the number of corona infected people is increasing each day as people are reluctant in maintaining health guidelines.
The district administration is conducting mobile court to create awareness among the people about the spread of COVID-19.
The mobile court will continue similar drives in future, executive magistrate Johnny Roy added.
