NCL: Rahatul trumps Shuvagata to keep Sylhet on top of Dhaka
DHAKA, March 31, 2021 (BSS)- Left-arm spinner Rahatul Ferdous claimed
his career-best 7-75 as Sylhet kept them aloft over Dhaka Division, despite
Shuvagata Hom’s century in the Tier-1 game of Banagabandhu 22nd National
Cricket League (NCL) at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium, ground-1
at Cox’s Bazar.
Resuming the day three on 239-6, Dhaka was bowled out for 280, conceding
a 90-run lead. Shuvagata Hom was the highest scorer for the side with 114.
Saif Hasan made 42 while opener Joyraz Sheikh scored 41.
Despite their effort today, Dhaka conceded a big lead, courtesy to
Rahautl Ferdous whose career-best bowling was complemented by Tanzim Hasan
Shakib’s 2-63.
Sylhet then ended the day with 183-6, extending their lead to 273.
Asadullah Galib was batting on 74 with Tanzim Hasan Shakib on 24. Sylhet
earlier put up 370 in their first innings before being shot out.
