Steps to be taken for development of BRSK: Noor

RANGPUR, July 18, 2018 (BSS) – Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor has said all necessary steps will be taken for a proper development of Begum Rokeya Smriti Kendra (BRSK) located at village Pairaband in Mithapukur
upazila of the district.

“Essential steps will also be taken to stop shutting down development of BRSK and continuation of the process even after expiry of tenure of the present government,” Noor said while addressing a views-exchange meeting held at BRSK
on Tuesday afternoon as the chief guest.

Earlier, the minister visited the whole BRSK compound with high officials of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Bangla Academy and the local administration.

The minister said sincere cooperation of all concerned people was always crucial for any development and the local people should come forward for continuous progress of BRSK.

With acting president of Bangla Academy Mohammed Anwar Hossain in the chair, chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Public Administration HN Ashiqur Rahman, Secretary to the Ministry of Cultural
Affairs Nasir Uddin Ahmed, executive member of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society Rehana Ashiqur Rahman attended the meeting as special guests.

Upazila Awami League President Mozammel Haque Mintu, Pairaband Union Parishad Chairman Foyzar Rahman Khan, Begum Rokeya’s niece Ranjina Begum, president of Begum Rokeya Smriti Sangshad Raju Ahmed and its General Secretary Rafikul
Islam Dulal, among others, addressed.
