DHAKA, March 30, 2021 (BSS)- Sylhet district football team beat Khulna district football team by 3-2 goals in group A match of men’s football of Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games held today at Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla.
In the day’s match, Manik put Sylhet ahead in the 31st minute while Nabil doubled the lead scoring the second goal in the 40th minute of the match.
After the resumption, Arif further widened the team’s margin scoring the third goal for Sylhet in the 60th minute while Nazmul pulled one back for Khulna district team in the 47th minute. Topu further reduced the margin scoring the second goal for Khulna in the 85th minute of the match.
In the day’s another match, Netrokona district team got walkover against Pabna district team.
A total of ten teams, eight district teams along with BKSP and Bangladesh Army, are taking part in the meet, jointly organized by Bangladesh Football Federation and Bangladesh Olympic Association.
Men’s football teams (grouping):
Group A – Netrokona district, Bangladesh Army, Sylhet District, Pabna district and Khulna district.
Group B – Rangpur district, Cumilla district, Cox’s Bazar district, Satkhira district and Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan.
