NCL: Pinak establishes Chattogram’s full control over Metro
DHAKA, March 30, 2021 (BSS)—Pinak Ghosh hit his career-best 159 as Chattogram Division kept them aloft over Dhaka Metro in Tier-2’s second round game of the Bangabandhu 22nd National Cricket League (NCL) at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium, ground-2 in Cox’s Bazar today.
Chattogram declared its first innings on 402-8 after which Dhaka Metro ended the day two on 132-3. Chattogram is in the lead of 270 runs at this moment.
Chattogram resumed the day on 281-4 and added 121 runs to their overnight total. Apart from Pinak Ghosh’s 159, Shahadat Hossain Dipu made 53 and Yasir Ali scored 49. Arafat Sunny took 3-120 while Shohidul Islam picked up 2-78 for Metro.
Metro’s highest score on day two came from Shamsur Rahman’s willow as he scored 68. Before the bails were drawn, Zabid Hossain was batting on 46 with Al-Amin, who is yet to open the account.
