5,29,644 get COVID-19 vaccines in Rangpur

RANGPUR,Mar27,2021(BSS)–The number of Corona virus (COVID-19) vaccine recipient citizens rose to 5,29,644 with inoculation of 7,606 more people today in Rangpur division.

“ Of the inoculated with the COVID-19 vaccines today in the division, 3,854 are male and 3,752 are female,” Rangpur Divisional Director (Health) Dr. Md. Ahad Ali told BSS this evening.

Among 5,29,644 citizens vaccinated so far with COVID-19 vaccines include 3,19,776 male and 2,09,868 female of all eight districts in the division.

“All vaccine recipient people are leading normal life without remarkable side effects with the exception of 73 citizens who experienced temporary adverse affect for a few minutes since February 7 in the division,” Dr. Ali said.

The district-wise break-up of 5,29,644 vaccine recipients stands at 1,49,541 in Rangpur, 37,719 in Panchagarh, 68,880 in Nilphamari, 33,706 in Lalmonirhat, 42,433 in Kurigram, 45,737 in Thakurgaon, 96,915 in Dinajpur and 54,713 in Gaibandha of the division.

“Registered citizens are eagerly rushing to the vaccination centers daily to take the vaccines since launching of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign on February 7 last,” Dr. Ali added.

Talking to BSS, Chief of Divisional Corona virus Service and Prevention Task Force and Principal of Rangpur Medical College Professor Dr. AKM Nurunnobi Lyzu urged people to abide by the health directives to check the rising infection rate.
