Two-day development fair begins in Habiganj
HABIGANJ, March 27, 2021 (BSS) – A two-day development fair began here today to celebrate the golden jubilee of Independence and marking Bangladesh’s graduation into developing country from the Least Developed Countries (LDCs).
A total of 100 stalls have been set up in the fair on the ground floor adjacent to the Collectorate building at the initiative of the district administration.
Habiganj-3, MP, Advocate Abu Zahir was present as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ishrat Jahan.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Ullah, District Council Chief Executive Officer Nurul Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC-General)Morzina Akhter, District Awami League General Secretary Advocate Alamgir Chowdhury and former Municipal Chairman Shahid Uddin Chowdhury were present as special guests.
Earlier, a colorful procession was brought out on the occasion of country’s golden jubilee of independence.
Although the activities of various organizations are highlighted in the development fair, several organizations are providing important services including Corona vaccination registration, blood test, new power connection at the fair.
