RANGPUR, March 27, 2021 (BSS) – The daylong President Welcome Cup Golf
Tournament- 2021 ended today through a colourful function held on Rangpur
Golf and Country Club (RGCC) ground in the metropolis.
More than fifty member-golfers of Rangpur Golf and Country Club
participated in different groups of the tournament, a press release said.
The 16 Infantry Brigade under the 66 Infantry Division of Rangpur
Cantonment sponsored the tournament organised by RGCC at its ground located
on the Ghagot riverbank in the outskirts of the city.
In the Male Group, Md. Saba secured the first position while Major Feroz
won the best gross award.
Lieutenant Colonel Tareq became the runner up while Brigade Brigadier
General Khondker Shafikuzzaman won the second runner up award.
Major Ashraf won the maximum part award while Md. Enamul Haque Sohel got
the minimum part award.
Colonel Yasir won the longest drive award while Colonel Saber got the
nearest to pin award.
In the Female Group, Nasrine Haque Boby became the winner.
General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 66 Infantry Division, Rangpur Area
Commander of Bangladesh Army and President of RGCC Major General SM Kamrul
Hassan attended the launching and concluding ceremonies as the chief guest.
Major General SM Kamrul Hassan and Brigade Commander of 16 Infantry
Brigade Brigadier General Khondker Shafikuzzaman distributed prizes among the
winners.
Commanders and high ranking military officials, members and officials of
RGCC, participating golfers and invited guests, were present.
