DHAKA, March 27, 2021 (BSS)- Fast bowler Hasan Mahmud was ruled out of the
three-match T20 International series against New Zealand after failing to
recover from his injury.
The team management decided to send him back to the home alongside Tamim
Iqbal, who skipped the T20 series due to personal reasons.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) media section informed that Hasan Mahmud
and Tamim Iqbal had already left New Zealand for Bangladesh.
“Hasan Mahmud is returning home from New Zealand as he could not regain
fitness in time for the T20 international series against the Black Caps which
starts on Sunday,” a BCB press release said here today.
“The 21-year old Hasan has not trained or played due to a stiff back
following the first ODI in Dunedin. He left for Dhaka today along with ODI
Captain Tamim Iqbal. He will continue his recovery under the supervision of
the BCB Medical Team.”
