NATIONAL DAY-CELEBRATION
Golden jubilee of Independence celebrated in Narsingdi
NARSINGDI, March 27, 2021 (BSS) – Golden jubilee of Independence and
National Day-2021 was celebrated in the district on Friday taking fresh vow
to build a happy, prosperous and peaceful Bangladesh.
Marking the day, district administration organised various programmes.
The day’s programme began with 31-gun salute at dawn of the day as a mark
of profound respect to the heroic struggle of the nation, placing of floral
wreaths at the monument in front of District Collectorate Office premises
here.
On the occasion, national flags were hoisted atop all the public and
private buildings in the district. Deputy Commissioner of the district Syeda
Farhana Kawnine and Police Super Kazi Ashraful Azim BPM hoisted national flag
at local Moslehuddin Bhuiyan stadium and took salute from the march-past of
police, anser, students and others.
Bangladesh Shishu Academy, Narsingdi arranged various competitions of art,
essay writing and recitation for the children of the district.
The district administration arranged a discussion on golden jubilee of
Independence and accorded a reception to the freedom fighters and the member
or representatives of martyred families at local Shilpakala Academy with
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Komal Kumar Ghosh in the chair.
Deputy Commissioner of the district addressed the function as the chief
guest while Chairman of Narsingdi Zila Parishad Abdul Motin Bhuiyan was
present as special guest.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (revenue)Shahina Parvin, Former Principal of
Narsingdi Government College Professor Golam Mostafa Miah, President of
Narsingdi Press club Makhan Das, Muktijudda Sector Commander Narsingdi Abdul
Motaleb Pathan addressed the function, among others.
Special prayers were offered at all the mosques, temples and pagodas in
the district, seeking divine blessing for the welfare of the nation.
Besides, the district Awami League also arranged a similar discussion
meeting at their office in the town.
