Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games: Men’s football begins tomorrow
DHAKA, March 26, 2021 (BSS) – The men’s football event of Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games begin from tomorrow (Saturday) as the second discipline at Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla with two matches are billed for the opening day.
Host Cumilla district will take on Satkhira district in the day’s opening match that kicks off at 1.30 pm while Rangpur district face Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan the day’s second match of the fixture at 3.30 pm.
Bangladesh Olympic Association member and Athletics Federation general secretary Advocate Abdur Rokib Montu is expected to inaugurate the meet as the chief guest.
Men’s football team (grouping):
Group A – Netrokona district, Bangladesh Army, Sylhet District, Pabna district and Khulna district.
Group B – Rangpur district, Cumilla district, Cox’s Bazar district, Satkhira district and Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan.
