DHAKA, March 26, 2021(BSS) – State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud
Chowdhury today said Liberation War, Bangladesh and Bangabandhu are
intertwined with each other.

“After killing Bangabandhu and his family in 1975, Bangabandhu’s name, Joy
Bangla slogan and speech on March 7 were banned, history was tampered… War
criminals were rehabilitated, Bangabandhu’s killers were rewarded. But they
failed to kill Bangabandhu, because Bangabandhu means Bangladesh,” Khalid

Independence at Motijheel BIWTA Bhaban here.

Mentioning that Bangabandhu’s ideology is not only for Bangladesh but also
relevant for the whole world, the state minister said, “Bangabandhu has shown
how a state can be a secular state even after the majority of the people are
Muslims. Bangabandhu has taken Bangladesh forward in a non-communal spirit,”
said the release.

presided over the function.

Chairman of Bangladesh Land Ports Authority KM Tariqul Islam, Director
General of Shipping Department Commodore AZM Jalal Uddin, Chairman of BIWTA
